Aris Sobze Manfo grew up in Peace River, Alberta, where he spent much of his time playing basketball and swimming and developed a lifelong passion for both playing and watching sports. While he never experienced a major injury himself, he was always fascinated by seeing professional athletes return to play after setbacks. This interest, combined with his appreciation for movement and performance, led him to pursue physiotherapy. What drew him most to the profession was the opportunity to be part of a person’s recovery journey from day one to the very end and to witness people regain confidence in their own bodies along the way. He is motivated by the idea that when someone takes the time to seek care, it reflects how much they value their health and he is committed to matching that same level of dedication and effort in helping his clients reach their rehabilitation goals.

Aris Sobze Manfo completed his Bachelor of Science at the University of Alberta in 2022 with a major in Biology and a minor in Sociology before continuing his education at the University of Alberta, where he earned his Master’s degree in Physiotherapy between 2023 and 2025. He brings a patient centred approach into his practice, viewing himself as a coach who guides and motivates clients through both the progress and challenges of rehabilitation. Aris approaches learning as a continuous process and believes that while no clinician has all the answers, it is essential to actively seek them. He values building strong rapport, ensuring goals are meaningful and being met, and delivering care that is collaborative and empowering. As part of the Leading Edge team, Aris is eager to continue expanding his clinical skill set and plans to pursue advanced training in vestibular and concussion rehabilitation as well as advanced orthopedics.
