Capilano Rehabilitation Centre
Spanning over 8,000 square feet, Capilano is a spacious rehab and sports medicine facility. It houses a variety of technology, including a Swimex Aquatic Therapy Pool, a BIODEX Multi-joint Isokinetic System, and a 1,200 sq ft pediatric facility complete with a climbing wall and sensory gym.
Old Strathcona
Our Old Strathcona location offers a dedicated community-based Cancer Rehab facility outside of a hospital setting. We provide care focused on supporting patients during or following their cancer treatment journey, alongside standard physiotherapy services.

Do I need a doctor’s referral, and do you direct bill to health insurance for physiotherapy in Edmonton?
No, you don’t need a doctor’s referral to see a physiotherapist at any of our Leading Edge locations. You just book and come in, and we get started. And yes we make billing easy. All of our Edmonton region clinics direct bill to most major insurance providers including Alberta Blue Cross, Canada Life, Sun Life, Manulife, and more. Our St. Albert location direct bills to Blue Cross and select third party providers. All locations also handle motor vehicle accident claims and WCB, when appropriate. Our goal is simple: Remove barriers so you can focus on getting better – not paperwork.
Which Edmonton Leading Edge locations offer specialized programs like aquatic pool therapy, pediatric rehab, or cancer rehabilitation?
Across and around Edmonton, our clinics offer these unique programs and facilities designed for complex needs. Aquatic therapy is available at our Heritage Valley, Capilano, and St. Albert locations with our on-site, warm water pools ready for your care. Pediatric physio is offered at all of our locations with therapists who know how to support kids and their development. However, Sherwood Park, St. Albert, and Capilano have unique facilities designed to enhance that care. Cancer rehab including strength, mobility, and fatigue management is also available at all Leading Edge Physiotherapy clinics, delivered by therapists who have some training in oncology rehab. We do have a facility in Old Strathcona designed specifically for those facing a cancer diagnosis, but no matter what the challenge, our location is ready to help you.
