personality

Jennifer is originally from Brandon, Manitoba. Her interest in physiotherapy grew from a fascination with human anatomy sparked from high school biology class  and from being an avid athlete which meant regular visits to the local physiotherapy clinic. After high school, an opportunity to work as a physiotherapy assistant sealed the deal, and the rest was history. As a physiotherapist, Jennifer focuses on creating a pathway to impactful results, while making treatment effective and enjoyable! Outside the clinic, Jennifer enjoys cooking, reading, trying new restaurants, spending time with friends and family, and staying active through strength and conditioning, recreational team sports, or exploring the rocky mountains.

  • Favorite books –  She’s always reading something – from personal development to light fiction. A few favourites are the Game of Thrones series or Daring Greatly by Brene Brown (two ends of a spectrum).
  • Favorite Music – Taylor Swift (yup, a Swiftie!)
  • Movies she loves –  The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. She may have learned a few treatments here.
  • Favorite sports/activities – Skiing (downhill and cross country classic), baseball, volleyball, hockey, strength training
  • What her physio assistants say about her – “Jenn is clinically sharp and meticulous in her work, endlessly patient in her approach to care, and always up for a laugh. She’s known for her great style and unexpected sense of humour, and will always have her lip balm in hand.”
  • Clinical Pet Peeve – When her own joints click during a treatment session instead of my patients’.
  • What was your first car?   2003 Honda Civic Coupe (complete with a spoiler and fuzzy dice)
  • What is your most prized mundane possession? Her milk frother, house slippers, and lip balm as noted.
  • Something you may not know about her – She came face to face with a king cobra snake while on a jungle tour in Thailand.
  • Superhuman Talent – “Breaking the ice!” She’s good at making people feel comfortable and at ease. She also might be one of the most organized people you have ever met!
  • Community connections – She loves attending physiotherapy seminars in the city organized through our professional associations and with her local colleagues
