personality
Julie grew up in Squamish, B.C. where she developed a love for all things outdoors and trained as a competitive gymnast in Vancouver. After multiple injuries and surgeries, her gymnastics career came to an end and she began competing in diving and swimming. Her sports and injury background led her to develop an early interest in physiotherapy, and she has been working towards this career since she was 12 years old. She now spends her time outside of the clinic with her family and her animals on her little farm. At the clinic, she looks forward to helping you feel your best doing the things you love.
- Favorite books – All books! She loves reading, although lately it’s mostly audiobooks while doing farm chores. Some favourites are historical fiction, fantasy, and autobiographies.
- Favorite Music – Indie folk, but she can appreciate all music.
- Movies he/she loves – Pride and Prejudice, Good WIll Hunting (a theme among some Leading Edgers)
- Favorite sports/activities – Hiking, climbing, rec volleyball, anything in the water
- What her physio assistants say about her – “Our height and coffee addiction make us a good pair”
- Clinical Pet Peeve – Not having a stool within arms reach at all times – sometimes multiple are needed to hold all her tools.
- Something you may not know about him/her – When she was a kid, she had 11 pets at one time (3 ferrets, 2 rabbits, 1 dog, 2 cats, a rat, a mouse, and a stick bug)
- Superhuman Talent– she can still do a handstand!
