personality
With family roots in Newfoundland but born and raised in Calgary, Steve grew up immersed in hockey, playing at a high level from a young age. The highlight of his career was playing two years of Midget AAA (now U18 AAA) with the Calgary Northstars. Experiencing injuries along the way introduced him to physiotherapy, and the positive impact it had on his recovery inspired him to pursue it as a career. After high school, Steve set his sights on becoming a physiotherapist, combining his passion for sports with his desire to help others. Outside of work, he is a devoted Toronto Maple Leafs fan, a passion he shares with his dad, and enjoys golfing, collecting hockey cards and jerseys, watching football on Sundays, and everything Disney. Known for his sense of humor and love of connecting with people, Steve values building strong relationships and being surrounded by family and friends. Above all, his greatest joy comes from his wife Cassandra and their son Everett, who continue to inspire and motivate him every day

edge
Steve’s journey into physiotherapy is marked by dedication, expertise, and a contagious energy that transforms the rehab experience. After earning his Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Calgary in 2014, he went on to complete his Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta in 2017. Since then, Steve has immersed himself in clinical excellence—working alongside top knee and shoulder specialists, refining his skills through McKenzie and Mulligan training, and earning certification in Functional Dry Needling. But what truly sets Steve apart isn’t just his credentials—it’s the atmosphere he creates. In February 2025, after eight years of collaboration, he and his colleague Kat Supa opened Leading Edge Glenmore Landing, a clinic built on warmth, humour, and high-octane positivity. Steve believes that laughter is medicine, and his patients feel that from the moment they walk through the door. He’s deeply committed to being present, approachable, and uplifting—ensuring every person feels heard, supported, and empowered to take charge of their recovery. For Steve, physiotherapy isn’t just about fixing injuries—it’s about helping people move forward with confidence, resilience, and a smile.
