Let me share with you how my mom was my best teacher, even after many years in University.

My mom tried everything she could as an operating room nurse to get rid of her heel pain including orthotics, physiotherapy and multiple cortisone injections that were both painful and ineffective. I was completing my last year of physiotherapy and watched my mom wake up with pain for 5 years of my studies. When my own university courses, techniques and even my professors failed to offer relief, my mom and I decided to try figure it out together. The result of our frustrations was that we learned what does and doesn’t work. We also learned effective ways to unload the heel, alleviate stresses on the feet and allow the heel to heal.

The end result was that my mom didn’t have the heel pain anymore and I learned how to effectively treat plantar fasciitis without the need for injections.
